Our Success Stories
Lilli
now Toto
Lilli came into rescue after
an owner surrender. The house was very busy with two young children and
another energetic male Boxer, so it was determined that Lilli should find
another home. Lilli was healthy and well socialized already when she arrived
at her foster home. She is very affectionate and wants to be the only
one getting any love. She is very playful and enjoys running and wrestling
with other Boxers. She is a princess and refuses to sit on the floor.
She learned very quickly how to adapt to a crate and how to work for treats.
She is now with a loving family who has an older male Boxer
OZ,
who was adopted through MVBC several years ago and an elderly miniature
Schnauzer. She fits in just fine and has become the dog for the "woman
of the house."
Update
4/30/06 - I thought it was time to give you an
update on Toto. What a ham. I think that she is keeping Oz young. She will
challenge him with a toy and initiate play. The two favorites are the
rings and a big rope bone. We still walk most days for close to a mile. Of
course both are on leashes, but the walk by my side with the leashes slack
and stay on pace with me. Very rarely Toto will want to explore the bird
or rabbit that she spots, and voice correction works well. Then I get
those big Boxer eyes "Sorry Dad."
