Our Success Stories
HAPPY
Happy was picked up running stray
in a rural area by the local sheriff. She was taken
to a local veterinary clinic because he was sure someone was going to be looking
for
this little cutie. Happy spent ten days at the vet's office and was close to
being euthanized
when Boxer Rescue was notified. Happy was spayed, updated on vaccinations and
started
on heart worm preventative while at the vets before going to her foster home.
Shortly after
going to her foster home, she came down with a nasty case of kennel cough and
had to be
isolated for nearly three weeks. When she was finally able to interact with
the other dogs in
the foster home, she was a WILD woman. She had endless energy and really gave
the other
dogs a work out. Once she was healthy, we set to work on finding her the perfect
home.
A gentleman who had adopted 1 ½ years previously was looking for a companion
for his male
and Happy was just the dog for him. She joins
Rocky,
another rescue, and is thriving in her new home.
She is even enrolled in an Agility Class and doing quite well.
