Zeke

What a cute bundle of energy this guy is, and boy oh boy, is he a lucky dog!!! Zeke was a 7-9 month old owner surrender. His owner could no longer keep him in her current living arrangement and contacted Boxer Rescue to find him a good home. When we originally picked him up, we had a few questions about his temperament. You see, he growled at us and was rather reluctant to "warm-up" to us. We felt he would need substantial obedience and socialization work if he was going to be adoptable. He was placed in a foster home with a very caring and consistent "mom" with her two boxer girls. It was here that Zeke realized that people are good and really fun to be around...nothing to fear or shy away from. He also learned great socialization skills from the boxer big sisters.

Zeke was placed in his forever home in late January 2000 and has been a dream for his loving family. Everyone is getting along well and Zeke continues to grow and amaze his family. They reported that he is a "GENIUS." They were amazed to find Zeke doing so well when it came to going outside to potty. On one occasion, Zeke walked into the room carrying his leash and then proceeded to lead his family to the door. When they leashed him and took him outside, he immediately stopped, squatted and did his business. What a smart cookie!! We know that Zeke will be very happy!
