Our Success Stories

Vince

Vince was picked up as a stray and nobody claimed him. He was severely underweight and had lost most of the hair along his back and head. He had huge calluses on his hocks and tail the size of silver dollars. The calluses on his hocks were half an inch thick. The neglect he'd been exposed to was painfully obvious. Vince proved to be an angel from the beginning.

Vince was adopted by some very close friends of ours. At the time their daughter was 1 1/2 years old and they really wanted a dog, but didn't want to deal with a puppy. Vince has been a perfect dog for them and is living a quality life now. He even has a baby Boxer sister now to keep him company.

Vince has been a champion! He brought love and laughter to all he encountered. It is with great sadness that we share the story of his crossing to the Rainbow Bridge. Vince passed over the bridge on Wednesday, October 13, 1999, peacefully while sleeping in bed with his adoptive human companion. Vince will be remembered as a loyal and loving companion. We will look for you again, Vince! One day we will be reunited to run and play as we once did on Earth! We will miss you!
