Our Success Stories
Spike
Spike is a very healthy and happy
boxer. From the image you see, you truly
can not appreciate his size or stature (We affectionately nicknamed him Mugsy).
He entered our program as an owner surrender. The previous owner was
unable to keep him due to changes in the family structure and he was not receiving
the time and attention he deserved. Spike was being left outside in a run
all the
time and with very little interaction with people, a very difficult situation
for any boxers.
Due to this lack of attention, Spike was barking all the time. (Wouldn't you?)
Spike entered the foster program and learned a few indoor manners, such as
not
lifting his leg on the couch and staying out of the trash, otherwise deemed
a buffet by dogs.
Spike was adopted by an awesome
couple who already have a one year old male boxer who is very active to say
the least! Bo, Spike's new "brother", has been running
circles around Spike and pestering the heck out of him, but at last check
last night,
both dogs were quietly laying with their owners and agonizing over the Nebraska/Kansas
football game!! Spike will make a great Husker fan and a great addition to
this boxer loving home!!!
