LACY

Lacy was also surrendered to Boxer Rescue because her owner encountered hard times. He was evicted from his apartment and didn't want Lacy to go to the shelter. Through spending time in her foster home, we discovered that she was a fence jumper.

A wonderful couple from Omaha fell in love with her, and when Lacy met them, she was all over them too with hugs and kisses. Lacy looks forward to a life of jogging in the morning and frequent camping trips. At our last update from Lacy's new home, it was stated that Lacy was doing great! She is adjusting well. They live next to the air force base and the planes fly so low that Lacy tried to chase one down the other day!

Thanks to all who helped find Lacy this perfect home!

Lacy Update as of August 2003:
Everything is grand! All Lacy's little quirks are becoming apparent which just makes her more a part of the family than ever. She just loves the water and splashes ever chance she gets. Mud puddles have now become her passion. When ever she sees one she lies down in it instantly. Usually she stands up covered in mud from her chest to her tail. We are so thankful to have her, she has brought many laughs to our home and lots of love. She has never met another dog she didn't like. Recently, we have had some frogs around our apartment that she will chase. She scratches the pavement behind them to make them jump and then when they land she pins them to the concrete with her nose and then slobbers all over them. She has yet to eat one or bite one so feel assured no animals where hurt in the chase.
